Reyan Tamang is a contemporary artist born and based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Primarily working with Acrylic paint on wood, he creates visually vaptivating and unique aesthetic that explores themes of perspectives and “point of view,“ derived and inspired from various human experiences and interests.

As a self taught artist, Reyan draws inspiratioin from pop culture. Movies, magazines, and music have been a major source of exploration and information. By soaking in the works of Pop Art’s finest – such as Warhol, Haring, Basquiat and Kaws – he has managed to create an identifiable style original to him. His monochromatic aesthetic and the shape of his paintings aim to give the viewer a peep through a “portal“ to where they would rather be.
