Threshold is a photographic exhibition developed in Kathmandu, bringing contemporary photography into contact with traditional Nepali lokta paper. The images ask what becomes visible when human presence, clothing, color, and gesture enter spaces shaped by memory, material, and time. The same question continues in the printing process, where the fibers and irregular texture of handmade lokta interrupt the usual precision of the photographic surface. Printed with archival pigment inks, each image is shaped by the paper itself, allowing every print to become a unique object. The exhibition explores how perception changes when one world enters another.
